Cedar Mountain

Last night we went up Cedar Mountain for Family Home Evening. I think Fall is my favorite time of year. I love when the leaves change colors and the air is crisp and fresh. We couldn't miss seeing the leaves again.

We're so lucky to live is such a beautiful place, and it's only 10 minutes away. I love Cedar City!

Skyfest

This is my favorite festival in Cedar City all year. I love the colors of all the balloons in the sky and the sound of the fire heating them inside.

If any of you have never been come next September and see for yourself how awesome it is.

We made our own balloon at home. The boys loved it so much!

Toothless-Day3

This morning Caleb had a note from the toothfairy. Along with it came Pixie dust (glitter). He was so excited!

Dear Caleb,
Thank you for the letter. I know it's a hard
decision whether or not to give up your tooth,
but it is very important. I need a very special
tooth to go on top of the tooth fairy castle.
It needs to be shiny and white, with no cavities
of course. Please let me know tomorrow if I
could use your tooth for this special job.
Thanks,
Flossie
The Tooth Fairy

I'm really getting into this toothfairy business. The letter even came on tooth fairy stationary. Steve makes fun of me, but this is the fun of being a mother right?

Toothless-Day2

Today we read the book Dear Tooth Fairy by Alan Durant. It was great! (Thanks Aunt Steph) It's about a little girl who loses a tooth but doesn't want the toothfairy to take it so she writes her a note. Caleb loved it because it was just like him. Tonight we wrote a note to the toothfairy.
Dear Tooth Fairy,
Please tell me what you're going to use my tooth for,
but don't take it tonight!
Caleb

We'll see what she says.

Have you ever realized there are three stages in your life?
STAGE 1: You believe in The Tooth Fairy
STAGE 2: You don't believe in The Tooth Fairy
STAGE 3: You ARE The Tooth Fairy!

Toothless

Today at school Caleb lost his tooth during snack time while eating goldfish. We knew it would happen any time and he was so excited to be the first kid in his class to lose a tooth. When he got home we made him a tooth pillow with a little pocket on the front. I've heard this is easier for the "toothfairy" to find the teeth at night. He picked out the goofy fabric because goofy is missing teeth too.

When all was said and done we were getting in bed ready to put the tooth pillow by him and he started to cry. He did not want to get rid of his tooth. He was going to miss it! We taped the pocket shut and wrote a little note to the toothfairy saying please don't take it tonight. Maybe tomorrow. What a kid.

Boy, Oh Boy!

Yes, it's a fact! It's another boy. We're excited for more baseball games and soccer. I guess we'd better make sure we have those mission funds started too! At least I don't have to change my blog header. "Mothers of little boys work from son up 'till son down."

Ride 'em Cowboy!

Saturday night we went to the Western Stampede Rodeo. It was fun! We only go once a year because the Lion's club sponsors it and Steve is always helping out. The kids really like seeing all the animals. This year the Budweiser Clydesdales were here. They were pretty amazing horses.

Caleb participated in the Mutton Bustin' where kids try to ride sheep as long as they can. Logan really wanted to go, but he was too little, so Steve gave him a little ride of his own.

Here is Caleb getting psyched up for his ride!
